Watercolor Zebra

Before I start my normal post jargon, a couple of quick things so you don’t go all “Wth?!” on me – I think by now it is blatantly obvious that I like to keep my nails long. I like a bigger canvas, so to speak, and, well, I just like my claws!! However, there also comes a time when they’re too long. And, at that particular moment, my nails begin to drive me crazy. For example, a claw to the eyeball when putting on eyeliner. A simple itch turns into what closely resembles a stab wound. (Yeah, they’re that sharp.) And finally, such a difficulty in typing that it turns me into a human Lol Cat.
So, to sum up, that’s why my nails are so much shorter. I realize that this is technically only one thing, in contrast to my “couple quick things” above … and I also realize that I could have simply said, “I wanted them shorter,” as opposed to dragging it out in this long paragraph. But it’s my blog and I’ll type what I want to!!
Starting the Base in Pale Purple Creme
Now then, on to the mani! I started off with three coats of Essie Lilacism, a pale purple creme. I followed with one coat of SV.

Adding the Random Splotches with Sinful Colors Unicorn
Using a basic wedge makeup sponge, I dabbed on some random splotches with Sinful Colors Unicorn.

I repeated the step with Maybelline Green with Envy …

And again with China Glaze Kinetic Candy, followed by another coat of SV.

Adding the Zebra print design
I then paired Konad Special White with Bundle Monster plate BM-223 for the zebra print design.

Even with my shorter nails, a few of my nails were still a bit too long for the stamp, so I used my smallest striping brush with Konad Special White to extend the lines a bit,
I love the end result! I am crazy about the white zebra over the pastel blend. I might have to rock this one for a few extra days for a change!!

I really hope you enjoyed today’s post, and my ridiculous ramblings! Happy Painting!
