Ursula-inspired Manicure

Just like most of you, I adore all things Disney! For some reason, I always seem to identify with the villains, rather than the heroes. But, if you knew me, you wouldn’t find that at all surprising. So, I thought I’d go with a little Ursula inspiration today!
Let’s begin with our Ursula-inspired Manicure
I started off with two coats of Emily de Molly It’s Complicated on my index and pinky fingers, and two coats of OPI Funky Dunky on my middle and ring fingers. I followed with one coat of SV.
One my middle finger, I added one coat of Funky Fingers Teal Scales, a glittering dark teal crackle. This is, in my opinion, one of the few crackle polishes worth owning. It’s freaking gorgeous. I chose this one as a little nod to Flotsam & Jetsam.
Create tentacle design
I created a tentacle design on my ring finger. You can see the step by step version of this in the gif at the end of the post.
I paired my striping brush with Sinful Colors Black on Black and painted on the curved tentacles.
Next, I used my striping brush again with China Glaze Tart-y for the Party to fill in part of the tentacles.
I used my dotting tools with OPI Funky Dunky, China Glaze Get Outta My Space and China Glaze IDK for the suction cup details. I used a small striping brush with IDK for a little bit of detailing on the tentacles as well.
I also added a Suds n Stickers flash design decal to my pinky nail. The color-matched Funky Dunky perfectly! I finished with one coat of SV.
I hope you enjoyed today’s mani as much as I enjoyed creating it!! Happy Painting!
